Step off the grass near MSC to pay your respects to fallen Aggies

The grass is greener here, ma,
The grass is greener. 
I am sorry I could not make it home in time for dinner.

Don't let them follow me here, ma,
Do not let them follow.
I did what I could for them to have a tomorrow. 

Keep me in your memories, ma,
Names fade, Deeds last.
I hope the war is won now.
I hope they never have to step on this grass. 


Twelfth Man

Ae Whoop! rings out the mighty Yell,
The 12th man stands in rain or hail.
In the glaring Texan heat, the sun always wins.
And yet the 12th man stands as sure as  the Earth spins. 
And Kyle field is packed by 6 a m,
We are here as one, we are A&M.
Football is a tradition, it is not just a game. 
We are Aggies by blood, not just Aggies by name. 
Gig 'em!

The pursuit of purpose.

Are we alone in the universe? Is there a greater intelligence than ours? Do we have a purpose? Why do we exist? Perhaps the Earth is a thought experiment, only that the computation is being done by the human mind. The search for the meaning of life is unique for each individual; while some of us do not prioritize it, others make a living out of it. But the need to know ‘why’ exists in almost every one of us. Emotional Development needs to be a part of the curriculum.

Emotions are the key, they are the most complex and diverse of all the forces in nature. In today's day and age as we try to study consciousness, we attempt to design machines to emulate human thinking and emotion. But, algorithms and chemical reactions are not the same as the human brain. Machines can predict, analyze and ideate. Machines cannot emote in an autonomous manner (yet). Biological consciousness might be responsible for firing certain neurons to make us smile, but the correspondence of the stimulus and the reaction is one yet to be precisely modeled. Animals and humans both display basic emotions of pain, anger and such that are necessary for survival. These emotions are fairly easy to understand and replicate. They are mental responses to physical experiences. But, there are more complex emotions that can be classified as moral emotions that are only seen in certain species, humans being one of them.
