Grateful to be part of a team

Handball was a special sport to me growing up. It helped me build confidence in myself l, make friends and even stay fit. I played for ten years, two nationals, two zonals, three divisonals, five District tournaments and two collegiate level competitions. I was the pivot player and scored many a goal in that position. I remember this one game where we beat a team 17-2. Another where we tied the match because of a last minute hail-mary goal by me, but lost during overtime. My favorite moment was the entire Sadhana College boys team cheering me on as I tried a nine meter shot after years. One of those guys had a crush on me and went on to become a referee; he flirted with me during a match!

This article is not about a game we won, but it is a sweet reminder of the time. I had the best trips and the most fun while playing on this team. And of course, I made the best friends.

Am I ready to become a mother?

No, I am not married nor in a committed relationship. No, I am not sexually active nor am I thinking of adoption. Today I am 26 years old and am wondering : am I ready to be a mother? I am thinking about this because there is a right time for everything and today is the right time to wonder about this particular phase of my life. Let me tell you a little more about myself. I am an engineer with a master's degree in control theory and am currently enrolled in a doctoral program. Being a student at this age is not fun.
